Whats hidden between the curtains

With curtains we begin and end our day. It’s an act, in which the outside world is welcomed or said goodbye. Curtains often hang as a static, dark element within the interior. To mask this, one often places atmospheric lighting nearby curtains.

What's hidden between the curtains is a curtain in which a standing lamp is incorporated. The lamp is incorporated in the folding, so when not in use, there is nothing to be seen. When the curtain closes, the lamp unfolds itself into a 3-d lamp en light’s up when the curtain is completely closed.

The curtain is no longer a passive textile element, but starts to play an active role within the interior.
